<br />3.2 SPECIAL SERVICES, GROUP 1 <br /> <br />Special Services are as follows: <br /> <br />3.2.1 Field surveys which are required to collect <br />design data such as horizontal and vertical control <br />measurements, topography, profiles, and cross sections. <br /> <br />3.2.2 Field surveys for construction purposes <br />which generally include the layout of structures, <br />pipelines, roadways, quantity and measurement deter- <br />minations. <br /> <br />3.2.3 Land surveys required to establish location <br />of land boundaries and corners. <br /> <br />3.2.4 Design or special consulting serVlces not <br />included in basic services. <br /> <br />3.2.5 Complete revision of contract drawings and <br />specifications which have previously been approved by <br />the OWNER. Revisions to correct design deficiencies or <br />minor modification will be accomplished under Basic <br />Services, Phase 2. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 4 <br /> <br />COMPENSATION <br /> <br />4.1 DEFINITION OF TERMS <br /> <br />4.1.1 Construction Cost. Construction cost is <br />defined as the total cost to the OWNER for the execution <br />of the work authorized at one time and handled in each <br />separate phase of engineering services, excluding charges <br />or other costs for consulting and legal services, the <br />cost of land, rights-of-way, legal and administrative <br />expenses; but including the direct cost to the OWNER <br />of all construction contracts, items of construction, <br />including labor, materials and equipment, required for <br />the completed work (including extras) and the total <br />value at site of PROJECT of all labor, materials and <br />equipment purchased or furnished directly by the OWNER <br />for the PROJECT. <br /> <br />-7- <br />
