Single Family Residential Areas
(3,000) (N) = square feet

3,000 = average impervious cover for single family residential
lots.

N = number of lots.

Multi-family, Commercial, and Industrial Land Uses

The impervious cover for other land uses, including multi-family,
commercial, and industrial, shall be determined by addressing the
following factors:

- Ground Floor Building Square Footage of All Structures

Estimated Square Footage of Off Street Parking

Driveways and/or Roadways on Site.

If alternative surfaces for parking or other related uses are proposed,
adjustment factors have been established that should be multiplied by the
total acres of actual impervious cover. These adjustment factors for use
with specific surface coverage are as follows:

PROPOSED ALTERNATIVE SURFACE

COVERAGE FACTOR
0.25

Gravel walks or driveways

Rolled base or gravel driveways

Stone, brick, or wooded block with
open joints.

Stone, brick, or wood block with
cemented joints

0.55

0.60

0.80

Grass crete (or equivalent)

Concrete or Asphaltic concrete

0.70
1.0

Calculating Total Acres of Impervious Cover

Using the previous methods in calculating the total area of impervious
cover, the result is total square feet of impervious cover. This figure
should then be translated from total square feet to total acres of
impervious coverage. Total Square Footage of Impervious Cover ~ 43,560.

Once total acres of impervious cover is determined for roadways,
cul-de-sacs, driveway approaches, and residential, commercial and
