<br />I 1.3.5 <br />1.3.6 <br /> 1.3.7 <br /> 1.3.8 <br /> 1.3.9 <br /> <br />Assist the City in organizing the design-build selection committee(s). <br /> <br />Assist the City in establishing the RFQ/RFP design-build selection criteria. <br /> <br />Assist the City in advertising the RFQ portion of the design-build process. <br /> <br />Assist the City in the evaluation of proponent qualifications. <br /> <br />Assist the City in developing a short list of the most qualified design-build candidates. <br /> <br />1.3.10 Assist the City in requesting and evaluating proposals from the short-list of qualified <br />proponents. <br /> <br />1.3.11 Assist the City in discussing proposals, conducting proposer interviews and facilitating <br />the selection committee's choice of the best proponent. <br /> <br />1.3.12 Assist the City in negotiating a design-build contract with the selected proponent in <br />accordance with applicable State law. <br /> <br />1.3.13 Assist the City in finalizing a design build contract, including standard forms for billing, <br />procurement, timelines, change orders, applications for payment and all processes required; and <br />prepare presentation material for City Council approval. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.3.14 Assist the City, as requested, in procuring specialty consultants such as surveyor, <br />geotechnical engineer, hazardous material & abatement firms, test & balance firm, <br />commissioning agent, materials testing firms, independent design consultants and peer <br />reVIewers. <br /> <br />1.4 PHASE 3 - PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION <br /> <br />The Consultant will: <br /> <br />Design Phase <br /> <br />1.4.1 Attend kickoff meeting with the City, JQH, the design-build firm and others as identified <br />by the City. <br /> <br />1.4.2 Review and verify cost estimate(s) submitted by the design-build firm, reconcile and take <br />action to keep costs under control. <br /> <br />1.4.3 Review and comment on design development documents addressing architectural, <br />structural, mechanical and electrical systems, materials and other appropriate elements. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.4.4 Attend regular meetings, as requested, with the City and the design-build firm to review <br />and evaluate design documents for compliance with Project guidelines. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Broaddus OR Contract <br />
