PROPONET PRESENTATIONS: Proponents will set aside Tuesday, January 31, 2006 I <br />for presentations, demonstrations and/or visits to proponent's support or sales office. The <br />City reserves the right to select and limit which proponents receive site visits and/or system <br />demonstrations, and to select the location(s) most desired to visit. Proponent will expect <br />approximately five City/CCG representatives attending these system demonstrations. The <br />proponent will provide the location(s) of the closest sales or support offices that would be <br />serving client and/or would be used for system demonstrations. <br /> <br />F. UTILITY COORDINATION: Proponent agrees to accept the responsibility for placement <br />of all orders for central office lines, PRI's, private lines, long distance services, telephone <br />numbers and any other requests which will be coordinated with the local operating <br />company. Utility orders are scheduled to be submitted by Monday, March 6, 2006. The <br />first conversion or "cutover" are the facilities at 630 E. Hopkins Street. The proponent will <br />coordinate and confirm those orders with the City and CCG prior to placing orders and will <br />provide the City and CCG with copies of all orders or other correspondence from proponent <br />to local operating company or other companies. <br /> <br />G. IMPLEMENTATION CONFERENCE: An implementation conference will be held on <br />Tuesday, March 20, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the City, to coordinate installation requirements and <br />schedules and determine any contingency plans. Proponent representatives at this <br />meeting will include operations manager, project manager, primary technician, and the <br />sales person who prepared and submitted the proposal. City representatives consist of I <br />City and CCG representatives. All phases of the project will be discussed during this <br />conference. <br /> <br />H. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS: This section covers the general requirements for <br />the installation of any equipment and/or cable, and outlines the general conditions that will <br />be met. The proponent will comply with the requirements of local laws and ordinances, the <br />rules of the State of Texas, the National Board of Fire Underwriters, and the National <br />Electrical Code. Systems and power supplies will be Underwriter Laboratory (U.L.) <br />approved. If, in the opinion of the proponent, if there is anything in the plans or <br />specifications that will not strictly comply with the above laws, ordinances and rules, the <br />matter will be referred to the attention of the City for a decision before proceeding with that <br />part of the work. No changes in the plans or in the specifications will be made without full <br />consent in writing of the City and CCG. <br /> <br />All work must meet the following standards and be in compliance with applicable federal, <br />state, and local laws and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over <br />communications and electrical construction, including but not limited to the following: <br /> <br />1. Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") Rules and Regulations, Part 68 <br />"Connections of terminal equipment to the telephone network". <br /> <br />2. Electronic Industry Alliance ("EIA)/Telecommunications Industry Association I <br />("TIA")-568-A Commercial Building Telecommunications Wiring Standard; <br />EIA/TIA-569-Commercial Building Standard for Pathways and Spaces; EIAlTIA- <br /> <br />- 6 - <br />
