<br />I <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />include all pollutants, contaminants, chemicals, waste, or any other carcinogenic, ignitable, <br />corrosive, reactive, toxic or otherwise hazardous substance orwaste subject to regulation, <br />control or remediation under applicable environmental laws. <br /> <br />The successful proponent must obtain permission from the City before performing any <br />work that may require cutting into or through any part of a City building. The successful <br />proponent will be responsible for and repair all damages to the building, including ceiling <br />tiles, as a result of any direct activity on the part of successful proponent's technicians or <br />subcontractors. The City and CCG will periodically inspect the successful proponent's <br />work to insure that the progress and quality of work completed is in accordance with the <br />contract, and/or to determine compliance with safety, health and environmental standards. <br /> <br />M. GROUNDING: The proponent is responsible for proper communications grounding <br />and bonding in accordance with the National Fire Protection Agency ("NFPA") as well as <br />any local codes that specify additional grounding and/or bonding requirements. The <br />proponent will verify that the City's telecommunications grounding system is consistent with <br />the equipment manufacturer's recommendations for equipment protection and personnel <br />safety and will bear all costs for it. <br /> <br />N. LIGHTNING PROTECTION: The proponent is responsible for proper communications <br />lightning protection in accordance with the NFPA as well as local codes that specify <br />additional lighting codes or requirements and will bear all costs for it. <br /> <br />O. RESPONSE TO RFP: Proponents are encouraged to submit concise and clear <br />responses to this RFP. Responses of excessive length or complexity are discouraged. <br />The City reserves the right to include the proposal or any part or parts of the selected <br />proposal in the final contract. <br /> <br />P. EXCEPTION PROCEDURE: Any exception may result in disqualification of proposal. <br />The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all exceptions it deems in its best <br />interest. Any exception responses should be clearly and specifically detailed to merit <br />consideration. <br /> <br />Q. REIMBURSEMENTS: The City makes no commitment to any proponent of this RFP <br />beyond consideration of the written proposal. The City will not reimburse proponents for <br />the costs incurred in preparing proposals, presentations, etc. <br /> <br />R. COST PROPOSAL: A cost proposal which must be submitted on the enclosed form <br />will constitute an official offer to undertake the proposed work at the quoted price. All <br />prices quoted in cost proposals will remain in effect for ninety (90) days from the date of <br />the City's receipt of the cost proposal. <br /> <br />S. ADVERTISEMENT: Successful proponent is not authorized to advertise the use of the <br />City's account without prior written approval from the Director of Finance. <br /> <br />T. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Inquiries regarding this RFP will be in written form only, <br />and must be received by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on ten (10) calendar days prior to the <br />application submission date.
