<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />and utility relocations. This report will include a preliminary cost estimate for each location and <br />will specifically include a schematic detail for the UP crossing at the South Guadalupe location. <br />The Engineer will submit all reports to the City for review and approval. <br /> <br />1.2.4 Assemble a Project team comprised of the City's representatives and the Engineer's <br />representatives. The Engineer will meet with the Project team to set the design and production <br />schedule and parameters for all subsequent work, to verify the components within which all <br />Project participants must perform, and to identify all parties and significant deadlines involved in <br />the comprehensive schedule strategy. Based on this information, the Engineer will prepare a <br />detailed schedule of its work for the Project addressing each component of the work to be done, <br />indicating the points of involvement of all project participants. The Engineer will conduct <br />progress meetings twice monthly between the Project team and the Contractor once the <br />construction contract is executed. <br /> <br />1.3 TASK 2 - DESIGN <br /> <br />Upon completion of Task One, for each phase of the Project, the Engineer will: <br /> <br />1.3.1 Conduct a "kick off' meeting (one at each location) for each phase of the Project. These <br />meetings may be conducted simultaneously with the meetings addressed in subsection 1.2.4. At <br />these meetings, each team member will present information regarding its respective duties, <br />responsibilities, schedule, and budget. The Engineer's subconsultants will attend these meetings, <br />as appropriate. <br /> <br />1.3.2 Survey - Perform surveys as identified in the PER, paying special attention to right-of- <br />way locations, existing tree locations, and existing utilities. For the purposes of this Agreement, <br />the fee estimate is based upon on-the-ground surveys as follows: <br /> <br />a) Phase 1 (Staples Road) - Survey of topography and physical features from <br />centerline of road to right-of-way line and from the intersection of Tampico to the <br />centerline of Durango. <br />b) Phase 2 (S. Guadalupe Street) - Survey of topography and physical features from <br />centerline of road to right-of-way line and from the centerline of Grove Street to <br />the centerline of the driveway into 228 South Guadalupe Street (Tuttle Lumber). <br />An additional 5,000 SF area will be surveyed in the vicinity of the UP track <br />crossmg. <br />c) Phase 3 (E. Hopkins Street) - Survey of topography and physical features WIthin a <br />30,000 SF area from the San Marcos River approximately 100 feet to the north <br />and a distance of approximately 150 feet on either side of the centerline of the San <br />Marcos River. <br /> <br />1.3.3 Geotechnical Investigation (Phase 3 only) - Perform a geotechnical investigation for the <br />bridge bents for the approved alternative from the Pedestrian Bridge Selection summary report. <br />For the purposes of this scope, the fee estimate is based upon two borings in the vicinity of the <br />Hopkms Street Bridge (one on each end of the proposed bridge). <br /> <br />Klotz Engineering <br /> <br />3 <br />
