<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Landscape Architectural Services <br />Civil Engineering Services <br />Structural Engineering Services <br />Mechanical Engineering Services <br />Electrical Engineering Services <br />Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Design Services <br />Geotechnical Services <br /> <br />Upon assignment of this Agreement by the City to the Contractor, the Project Architect <br />will provide construction cost estimating services and scheduling services to the City in <br />coordination with the Contractor. <br /> <br />1.2.7.11 Project Architect will not proceed to any subsequent stage of Design Services until City, <br />through the Owner Representative, has authorized Project Architect to proceed in writing, <br />except at the Project Architect's sole financial risk. <br /> <br />1.2.8 Pre-Design Stage <br /> <br />1.2.8.1 The Project Architect will provide a preliminary evaluation of the City's requirements <br />and the CCL, each in terms of the other. <br /> <br />1.2.8.2 The Project Architect will visit the site to become familiar with the existing facilities, <br />systems and conditions to help ensure that the Project as designed will functionally <br />interface with the existing conditions as required. <br /> <br />1.2.8.3 The Project Architect will review laws applicable to the design and construction of the <br />Project and advise the City if any Program requirement may cause a violation of such <br />laws. <br /> <br />1.2.8.4 Before proceeding to the Schematic Design Stage, the Project Architect will obtain City's <br />written approval of the Program and the preliminary construction cost estimate and <br />written authorization to proceed. <br /> <br />1.2.8.5 The Project Architect will prepare preliminary Schematic Design drawing for use in the <br />Design/Build Request for Proposals. The drawings will include a site plan, floor planes) <br />and elevations (all drawings will include both the Conference Center and Hotel). <br /> <br />1.2.9 Schematic Design Stage <br /> <br />1.2.9.1 Based on the approved pre-design documents and any adjustments to the Program or <br />CCL authorized by the City, the Contractor will develop sufficient alternative approaches <br />to design and construction of the Project and review them with the City. The Project <br />Architect will prepare Schematic Design documents and a preliminary construction cost <br />estimate and submit them to the City for approvaL The construction cost estimate will <br />affirm adherence to the CCL. <br /> <br />8 <br />
