<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />following as full and final compensation for work accomplished. <br /> <br />Said services shall be those related to the construction of a <br /> <br />new water well complete with pump, motor and controls, and the <br /> <br />connection of said new well to the existing water main at the <br /> <br />intersection of Hunter and Redwood Roads 1n the City of San <br /> <br />Marcos with a <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />inch water line. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II. <br />ENGINEER'S SERVICES <br /> <br />A. Engineer shall not commence work on project until <br /> <br />written notification is received from City. Enqineer <br /> <br />will perform the following professional services <br /> <br />as necessary for the development of <br /> <br />Improvements to final completion. <br /> <br />B. The scope and character of the services are as follows: <br /> <br />1. Study and Report Phase <br /> <br />a) Consult with City to determine requ1re- <br /> <br />ments for Improvements and review available <br /> <br />data. <br /> <br />b) Advise City of any soil and foundation in- <br /> <br />vestigations or any special surveys or <br /> <br />special testing which, in the opinion of <br /> <br />Engineer, may be required for proper execu- <br /> <br />tion of Improvements; and arrange with City for <br /> <br />conduct of such investigations and tests. <br /> <br />c) Prepare a Report with appropriate exhibits <br /> <br />indicating clearly the considerations in- <br /> <br />volved and the alternative solutions available <br /> <br />to City and setting forth Engineer's findings <br /> <br />and recommendations with opinions of probable <br /> <br />costs. <br /> <br />d) Furnish five (5) copies of Report and present <br /> <br />and review it in person with city. <br /> <br />2. Preliminary Design Phase <br /> <br />After written authorization to proceed with the <br /> <br />Preliminary Design Phase, Engineer shall: <br />
