<br />-3- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />a) Prepare preliminary design documents <br />consisting of final design criteria, <br /> <br /> <br />preliminary drawings and outline <br /> <br /> <br />specifications. <br /> <br /> <br />b) Notify City of any utility adjustments <br /> <br /> <br />necessary to completion of Project and <br /> <br />provide detailed drawings for relocation <br /> <br /> <br />or replacement of those utilities. <br /> <br /> <br />c) Notify City of any easements needed to <br /> <br /> <br />complete Improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />d) Prepare an updated cost estimate based on <br /> <br /> <br />the preliminary design. <br /> <br /> <br />e) Submit the preliminary drawings to the City <br /> <br /> <br />staff for review, comments and approval. <br /> <br /> <br />f) Attend neighborhood meetings held in connec- <br /> <br /> <br />tion with Improvements when requested to do <br /> <br /> <br />so by City. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />3. Final Design Phase <br />a) Proceed with the final design phase after <br />receipt of written notice to proceed with <br />the City approved preliminary design. <br />b) Make approved modifications and additions <br />to contract drawings and specifications <br />resulting from City's review of the preliminary <br />design. <br />c) Prepare detailed contract drawings, on <br />drafting vellum or mylar film and/or on <br />photographic reproducible mylar film; and <br />prepare specifications. These designs shall <br />in all respects combine the application of <br />sound engineering principles with a high <br />degree of economy.
