I (3) Final recommendations on overall Fire Service Plan and sites for currently budgeted station will be presented in the form of a 10 to 20 page document with 4 non-color maps. Twenty (20) copies will be provided. (4) Assist the City staff in a presentation of recommendations to City Council. b. Basic Architectural and Engineering Services: Provide the following architectural and engineering services: (1) Schematic Design Phase: Review the program furnished by the Owner to ascertain the requirements of the Project and review the understanding of such requirements with the Owner; provide a preliminary evaluation of the program and the Project budget requirements; review with the Owner alternative approaches to design and construction of the Project; prepare, for approval by the Owner, Schematic Design Documents consisting of drawings and other documents illustrating the scale and relationship of Project components; and submit to the Owner a Statement of Probable Construction Cost. I (2) Desi~n Development Phase: Based on the approved Schematic Design Documents and any adjustments authorized by the Owner in the program or Project budget, prepare, for approval by the Owner, Design Development Documents consisting of drawings and other documents to fix and describe the size and character of the entire Project as to civil, architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, materials and such other elements as may be appropriate; and submit to the Owner a further Statement of Probable Construction Cost. (3) Construction Documents Phase: Based on the approved Design Development Documents and any further adjustments in the scope or quality of the Project or in the Project budget authorized by the Owner, prepare, for approval by the Owner, Construction Documents consisting of Drawings and Specifications setting forth in detail the requirements for the construction of the Project; assist the Owner in the preparation of the necessary bidding information, bidding forms, the Conditions of the Contract; advise the Owner of any adjustments to previous Statements of Probable Construction Cost indicated by changes in requir_ments Dr general market cond~tions; iir.d ,1SS~St ~~e Ov.!:e" ,-snn,..,_ with the Owner1s respor.~ibility fot fil:';:g document::: f2qu1iU.: for the approval of governmental aU-horlties having juris~ic,'. over the Project.
