The above rates will be honored, however, <br />through February, 1981. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />For Surveys, Designs, Plans and Specifications: For <br />Surveys, Designs, Plans and Specifications, the Engineer <br />shall be compensated for basic services (referred to <br />hereinafter as Basic Charge) plus surveying. Compen- <br />sation for Basic Charge shall be determined from the <br />curve shown as Attachment C, using actual construction <br />cost of the work which is authorized at the same time. <br />The fee for Basic Charge shall be divided into two <br />parts - (1) Design, Plans and Specifications (Paragraph <br />2.b.) and (2) General Representation (Paragraph 2.c.). <br />The fee for Design, Plans and Specifications shall be <br />85% of the Basic Charge on Attachment C. <br /> <br />Ninety (90%) percent of the 85% of the Basic Charge <br />shall become due and payable upon submittal of Plans <br />and Specifications to the Owner. If a construction <br />contract is not awarded within ninety days following <br />submittal of Plans and Specifications to the Owner, <br />full compensation (85 percent of Basic Charge) shall be <br />paid to the Engineer. This fee shall be based upon an <br />estimated construction cost agreed upon by the Owner and <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />For surveying, the Engineer shall be compensated on the <br />basis of the normal schedule of charges in effect at the <br />time surveying services are authorized for each segment <br />of the proj ect. <br /> <br />The Engineer agrees that the maximum hourly rate for <br />a 3~person survey party including standard equipment <br />will not exceed $49.50 for work completed prior to <br />December 31, 1981, without specific authorization. <br /> <br />c. For General Representation and Observation During Con- <br />struction: For General Representation and Observation <br />During Construction, the Engineer shall be compensated <br />on the basis of Charges for Design shown as Attachlllent <br />C.
