b) Notify City of any utility adjustments necessary to completion of Project and provide detailed drawings for relocation or replacement of those utilities. c) Notify City of any easements needed to complete Improvements. I d) Prepare a cost estimate based on the preliminary design. e) Submit 5 copies of the preliminary drawings to the City staff for review, comments and approval. f) Attend neighborhood meetings held in connec- tion with Improvements when requested to do so by City. 2. Final Design Phase a) Proceed with the final design phase after receipt of written notice to proceed with the City approved preliminary design. b) Make approved modifications and additions to contract drawings and specifications resulting from City's review of the pre- liminary design. I c) Prepare detailed contract drawings, on drafting vellum or mylar film and/or on photographic reproducible mylar film; and prepare specifications. These designs shall in all respects combine the application of sound engineering principles with a high degree of economy. Designs shall be submitted by Engineer to all applicable state and federal agencies for approval. d) Prior to actual printing and delivering of the final plans and specifications, submit a copy to City for final review and comments. e) Make approved modifications and additions to the contract drawings resulting from City~s final review. f) Furnish to City when necessary the engineer- ing data necessary for application for permits required by local, state and federal authorities, grants or planning advances, provided that such data need not extend beyond that actually developed in the performance of the other covenants in this agreement. I g) Advise City of any adjustments to Engineer's latest opinion of probable Improvements Cost caused by changes in scope, design requirements or construction costs and furnish a revised opinion of probable Improvements Cost based on the drawings and specifications. 2
