I I I 23 special meeting september 29, 1980 page three AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND; DECLARING THE PURPOSE; PROVIDING FOR CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS; ESTABLISHING AN OFFICIAL ZONING MAP; ESTABLISHING DEFINITIONS; DESIGNATING DISTRICTS; PROHIBITING USE; PROVIDING FOR NEWLY ESTABLISHED TERRITORY; SETTING FORTH USE RESTRICTIONS IN THE SEVERAL DISTRICTS; ESTABLISHING LAND COVERAGE; PROVIDING FOR PARKING; PROVIDING FOR SETBACK; DEFINING NONCONFOID1ING USES; PROVIDING FOR A BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT; PROVIDING ENFORCEMENTS AND REMEDIES; CLARIFYING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mrs. Norris moved the Ordinance be adopted on third and final reading. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion. Mrs. Norris moved to amend Section 2, E to change "petition" to "statement". Hr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mrs. Norris moved to amend Section 4, 28 to change "retirement" to "rest". Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James moved to amend Section 4, 37, a, b & c to redefine dwelling unit, single family dwelling unit, multiple dwelling unit and delete triplex and fourplex definitions. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. James moved to amend Section 4, b to add "on one lot". Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Stokes moved to amend Section 4, 43 by adding "separate" and "attached to or". l'1rs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mrs. Norris moved to amend Section 4, 63 & 66 to change the 5 acre requirement to 3 acres and 20 units or lots (respectively) minimum. Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Cavazos, Kraus, Norris, Stokes, Tarbutton NAY: James Hr. Stokes moved to amend Section 4, 66 by deleting the definition of modular home. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mrs. Norris moved to amend Section 4, 78 by removing "one story in height" from the definition. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor moved to amend Section 5 by having a R-l district to include TH and R-l (S.F.) to exclude TH. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Kraus, Norris, Stokes NAY: Brown, Cavazos, James, Tarbutton The motion failed. Mr. James moved to amend Section 5 by adding Section numbers to index the respective regulations for each district and to remove "industrial" from the PUD description Mr. Tarbutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Stokes made a motion to temporarily zone newly annexed property R-l. Mr. Stokes then withdrew his motion. J1r. Stokes then moved to amend Section 8, C by deleting specific uses 4-12. Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
