I I I 72 " regular meeting november 24, 1980 page seven The Mayor introduced for consideration a Resolution, the caption of which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO WRITE A LETTER IN SUPPORT OF THE CHAMBER OF co~rnERCE'S EFFORTS TO LOCATE A TEXAS EMPLOYMENT COID1ISSION OFFICE IN SAN MARCOS. Mr. Brown moved to adopt the Resolution. Mr. James seconded the mbtioni-which:passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced for consideration designation of Friday, December 26, 1980 as a City holiday. Mrs. Norris so moved. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Brown moved the Council recess to executive session at 11:30 p.m. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council reconvened in regular session at 11:40 p.m. on motion of Mr. Tarbutton and second of Mr. James. The City Manager stated that authorization was needed for expenditure of funds to complete landfill application for an extension. Mr. James moved to authorize the expenditure of $7,046.64 out of the general contingency fund. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
