CITY OF SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC RULES AND REGULATIONS C. INDUSTRIAL SERVICE The city will, through negotiations with a prospective Industrial customer, provide the necessary facilities to extend electric service to a new Industrial site under the provisions and .terms of ai-r developed Electric Service Agreement. The general principles reflected in extending service to commercial customers shall be incorporated into such an agreement. Based upon an economic evaluation of a prospective industrial facility, the city reserves the right to require payment or deposit of funds in advance to defray certain costs associated with providing service to the facility. I). MUNICIPAL SERVICE The City will construct permanent extensions of, or additions to, existing city overhead lines and facilities for Municipal services in those areas serving the City's retail electric customers. The city will make every effort to accommodate the line extension needs for Municipal services. Each request for the extension of electric facilities for the Municipal systems will be evaluated individually to determine the maximum construction possible without an excess construction cost payment. (See Appendix A, Section -E for Street Light rules) E. LIGHTING The City will construct permanent extensions of, or additions to, existing overhead facilities of the Ceity which provide electric service for the municipal lighting systems under the appropriate Tariffs where the annual revenue justifies the costs of such extensions. The city will install individual see-iiFity- customer lights on existing overhead facilities at the request of a customer receiving full time electric service in accordance with contract provisions specified in the applicable rate schedule. Where additional pole(s) or transformer(s) are required and requested by the applicant for the installation of shy customer lights, a charge will be made to defray any additional costs incident thereto. Where primary facilities are not installed, street lighting for subdivisions will only be installed, without cost to applicant, as primary facilities- are extended to service permanent residences or businesses in a subdivision. Street lights will be installed in accordance with City ordinances and Land Development Codes. F. SPECIAL FACILITIES The City will extend only those facilities which are deemed necessary to render service in accordance with the Tariff schedules. Where a customer requires facilities which are in addition to, or in substitution for, the standard facilities which the city would normally install, the extra cost thereof shall be paid by the customer. NON - STANDARD AND CUSTOMER CONVENIENCE SERVICE- The customer shall pay for any special installation necessary to meet a particular requirement for service other than that normally provided.
