Final Design Phase Task 3 — Obtain Design Survey - APAI will obtain a design survey for the portion of the project along Hunter Road between Centerpoint and Posey. The survey will pick up property line information, surface improvements, and contour data. The City will provide the base files for the portion of the project previously designed and that the survey for this area is generally sufficient for design. The Surveyor will spend up to one field day to resolve any issues with the previous survey. If it is determined that the previous design no longer reflects the existing conditions, additional survey beyond one day will be as an additional service. Task 4 - Identify Easements and Prepare Documents - The alignment along Hunter Road will be located in private easements outside the right -of -way. The easement documents for property located south of Posey Road have already been prepared. APAI will obtain easement documents for five tracts of land located north of Posey Road. Task 5 - Obtain Geotechnical Evaluation APAI will obtain a Geotechnical Evaluation of the proposed alignment. The evaluation will include 10 subsurface borings with testing to determine the engineering properties of the material anticipated to be encountered in the trench. Task 6 - Prepare Detailed Design Drawings APAI will prepare detailed plan and profile sheets, details, and general construction notes necessary to convey the intent of the project to prospective contractors. The plans shall include necessary erosion and sedimentation controls, as well as standard traffic control detail sheets. The plan and profile sheets shall be prepared at a horizontal scale of 1" = 20'. APAI will redraw the design for the portion of the project located on Harmons Way and Hunter Road south of Posey Road and make appropriate modifications as necessary. This will include the replacement of the 8 -inch in Harmons Way and the changing of services to this new line. The improvement project will also include milling and overlay details for Harmons Way. The City will be provided with five (5) sets of half -scale drawings and an electronic versioin (pdf) at the 60 and 90 percent stage for review. APAI will provide an electronic (pdf) version of the final, sealed drawings for distribution by the City. It is anticipated that the plan set will include 40 sheets. Task 7 — Prepare Technical Specifications and Bid Form APAI will prepare the technical specifications and bid form for the Contract Manual. The City will prepare the complete Contract Manual and APAI will review the completed manual. A -2
