Task 8 - Submit for Approvals <br />APAI will obtain approval of the final design from the Texas Department of Transportation, Hays County, <br />and the City of San Marcos. <br />Task 9 - Opinion of Probable Cost <br />APAI will develop an opinion of probable construction cost for the project at each submittal of plans. <br />Bidding Phase <br />APAI will provide the following services during the Bidding Phase of the Project. <br />Task 10 —Attend Pre -Bid Conference <br />APAI will attend the Pre -Bid Conference planned and hosted by the City. <br />Task 11— Respond to Contractor Questions /Issue Addenda <br />APAI will respond to questions from prospective contractors and shall issue such addenda as are <br />necessary to further explain or clarify the intent of the construction documents. It is anticipated that no <br />more than two addenda shall be required. <br />Task 12 — Review Bids and Make an Award Recommendation <br />APAI will review the bids from the apparent three low bids. APAI will check references and make a <br />recommendation to the City concerning the award of the construction contractor based on this review. <br />Construction Phase <br />APAI will provide the following services during the Construction Phase of the Project. <br />Task 13 — Provide Conformed Construction Documents <br />APAI will provide the Contractor with two full —size sets and two half -size sets of conformed <br />construction drawings as well as an electronic copy (pdf format). <br />Task 14 —Attend Pre - Construction Meeting <br />APAI will attend the Pre - Construction Meeting planned and hosted by the City's inspector for the <br />project. <br />Task 15 — Review Shop Drawings <br />APAI will review Shop Drawings and other submittals provided by the Contractor in accordance with the <br />Construction Contract Documents. <br />A -3 <br />
