Site 41 HY37 Data Recovery AP&C shall dig one 2x2 meter block unit to 6 feet (2.4 meters) deep or the bottom of any cultural feature encountered at 6 feet deep at site 41 HY37 to determ ine the presence or absence of significant deposits. Artifact locations shall be piece-plotted and point-provenienced. Artifact locations shall be plotted on level forms. Features will be drawn in a floor plan for each level excavated. After mapping, features will be exam ined by cross-section and removal in measured increments and 5 em levels. Special samples of feature till may be collected tor tine screening with water through 1/6th-inch hardware mesh, as necessary. A 50 x 50 em colum n shall be excavated in the northwest quadrant of the 2x2m unit in controlled 1 Q-em levels. Column soils shall be screened through 1/16 Inch wire mesh to include recovery of microbotanical materials present, if any. Geomorphological Study A geomorphic (soil) study of the block excavated st site 41 HY37 will be conducted and reported to transitional processes in place in the valley margin and axis Holocene soils present. The study will provide a geomorphic context to evaluate any sensitive deposits found and comparative data for site and 41HY37. Unit stratigraphic profiles will be drawn, measured, and photo-documented before backfilling.
