<br />AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The runoff election shall be held exactly four weeks following the preceding <br />regular or special election. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The ballots for the City election will conform to the requirements of the <br />Texas Election Code, and will have the measures described in Section 2 of this Ordinance <br />stated as propositions as follows: <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO.1 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The addition of a new Section 1.03 of the City Charter to <br />provide a statement of goals for the city government. <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO.2 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Section 2.02 of the City Charter, regarding <br />the City's eminent domain authority, to add a reference to the <br />right of property owners to adequate compensation, and to <br />update terminology. <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO.3 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Subsection 3.02(a) of the City Charter to <br />update terminology regarding qualifications for serving on the <br />city council. <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO.4 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Subsection 3.11 (d) of the City Charter to <br />require the city secretary to publish notice in a newspaper of <br />public hearings on ordinances by the city council. <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO.5 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAI NST The amendment of Section 3.13 of the City Charter to provide <br />for the City Code to be made available to the public through <br />electronic media. <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO.6 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Subsection 3.17(a) of the City Charter to <br />clarify terminology regarding expulsion of City Council members <br />for excessive absences from meetings. <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO.7 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Subsection 7.01(b) of the City Charter to <br />clarify that members of the planning and zoning commission <br />may be prohibited by law from voting on certain matters. <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO.8 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Section 7.06 of the City Charter to add a <br />requirement that the planning and zoning commission conduct <br />a public hearing on proposed amendments to the city master <br />plan. <br /> <br />PROPOSITION NO.9 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Section 8.02 of the City Charter to simplify <br />and update terminology regarding the city manager's <br />
