Maggie Hutchins, 1116 Lago Vista, addressed the Council regarding the Cape's Camp property <br />acquisition on behalf of the San Marcos Green Belt Alliance and stated that they supported it. <br />Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, spoke on behalf of the San Marcos River Foundation and <br />how important the Stokes Park area is, and that it would be the right thing for our Parks system. <br />She spoke in favor of the acquisition of the Cape's Camp property for the use of Park Land. <br />Dalinda Dupree, 601 River Road #602, addressed the Council regarding the San Marcos River <br />and the environment and how important its history and livelihood is to this area. She would like <br />the Council to consider all of the problems that have occurred in Austin and the ecosystem being <br />damaged. Protect the river. <br />Jon Stark, 601 River Road #207, spoke in support of everything that everyone said before him <br />and that we need to be good stewards of this precious resource of the River, and supports the <br />expansion of Stokes Park by acquisition of the Cape's Camp area. <br />9 Consider approval of the June 19, 2012, Regular Meeting Minutes. <br />10 Consider approval of Ordinance 2012 -32, on the third of three readings, granting to the <br />Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc., its legal representatives, successors and assigns, <br />certain rights -of -way privileges and a nonexclusive franchise to construct, maintain, <br />operate and use a transmission and distribution system within a portion of the city of San <br />Marcos to provide electric utility service; setting forth the terms and conditions of the <br />franchise; providing a process for resolving violations of the ordinance; providing a savings <br />clause and an effective date. <br />11 Consider approval of Resolution 2012 -72R approving authorization of Change in <br />Services No 1 to an agreement between the City and Surveying and Mapping, Inc., for the <br />provision of additional survey services; increasing the original contract amount from <br />$49,000.00 to $109,000.00; authorizing the City Manager to execute the authorization of <br />Change in Services and declaring an effective date. <br />12 Consider approval of Resolution 2012 -73R, awarding a construction contract to Smith <br />Contracting Company, Inc for the River Road /Riverside Drive Bicycle /Pedestrian <br />Improvements Project in the bid amount of $224,899.68 contingent upon the bidder's <br />timely submission of sufficient bonds and insurance in accordance with the City's bid <br />documents for the project; authorizing the City Manager to execute the contract <br />documents on behalf of the City and declaring an effective date. <br />13 Consider approval of Resolution 2012 -74R, awarding a construction contract to Smith <br />Contracting Company, Inc for the roadway improvements for Ranch Road 12 project in <br />the bid amount of $168,484.00 contingent upon the bidder's timely submission of sufficient <br />bonds and insurance in accordance with the City's bid documents for the project; <br />authorizing the City Manager to execute the contract documents on behalf of the city and <br />declaring an effective date. <br />
