<br />I <br /> <br />square feet of backfill area or for every 50 linear feet of fill placed in utility excavations to verify <br />compaction and moisture content as required by the geotechnical report and technical <br />specifications. <br /> <br />1.2.2 Perform one Proctor and Atterberg Limit test for each sub grade and fill type. <br /> <br />1.2.3 Provide recommendations, if requested by the City, for additional de-watering measures <br />and potential reuse of on-site excavated material. <br /> <br />1.2.4 Prepare test reports indicating test location, elevation data, and test results for review by <br />the City, the Owner Representative, the Project Architect, Civil Engineer, and the Construction <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />1.3 TASK 2 - PIERS <br /> <br />The Consultant will: <br /> <br />1.3.1 Closely monitor pier installations to ensure that piers extend to elevations indicated and <br />include the concrete volume requirements. <br /> <br />1.3.2 Prepare a drilled pier report for each drilled pier to include the following: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />a) actual top and bottom elevations; <br />b) description of soil materials; <br />c) description, location and dimensions of obstructions; <br />d) final top centerline location; <br />e) variation of shaft from plumb; <br />f) shaft excavating method; <br />g) levelness of bottom and adequacy of cleanout; <br />h) ground water conditions and water infiltration rate, depth, and pumping; <br />i) description, diameter, and top and bottom elevations of temporary or permanent <br />casmgs; <br />j) description of soil or water movement, sidewall stability, loss of ground, and means <br />of control; <br />k) variations from original design; <br />1) date and time of starting and completing excavation; <br />m) position of reinforcing steel; <br />n) concrete placing method, including elevation of consolidation and delays; <br />0) elevation of concrete during removal of casings; <br />p) location of construction joints; <br />q) concrete testing results (re: concrete sampling above); and <br />r) remarks, unusual conditions encountered and deviations from requirements. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.4 TASK 3 - REINFORCING STEEL OBSERVATIONS <br /> <br />PSI Conference Center Testing.doc <br /> <br />3 <br />
