<br /> Director of Public Works and the City's WVVTP Manager. Contractor will be responsible <br /> for ensuring that the WVVTP's sludge holding tank has at least 75% available storage <br /> capacity to store sludge during the holiday being observed. A decision to observe the <br /> above holidays does in no way relieve the Contractor of its obligation to provide loading, <br /> handling, hauling and disposal services the day before and the day after the subject <br /> holiday. <br /> Complaints <br /> <br /> 1.4.6 The Contractor will respond promptly and courteously to all complaints it receives. <br /> Equipment <br /> <br /> The Contractor will: <br /> 1.4.7 Use only equipment such as totally enclosed tanker trucks suitable for sludge <br /> hauling so that leaks and spills are prevented. All equipment will be in good mechanical <br /> condition and possess current DOT certification. <br /> 1.4.8 Provide access at any time, for the City to inspect the equipment to ensure it is in <br /> good condition and that it possesses the proper TxDOT certification. <br /> 1.4.9 Utilize citizen's band type radios in each truck and a base station at its local office <br /> to allow for communication between the drivers and the office. Wireless cellular/digital- <br /> type telephones are acceptable for communication in lieu of a radio system. <br /> 1.4.10 Utilize the equipment listed in Attachment C to perform the Services. Contractor <br /> may substitute other equipment which is not more than seven (7) years old or which has <br /> no more than 10,000 hours of operation to provide the Services required under this <br /> Contract. All equipment used will be manufactured by a nationally recognized <br /> manufacturer. <br /> 1.4.11 Keep all equipment clean and in a state of good repair and maintain all trucks and <br /> other equipment so that they are free from odors. <br /> 1.4.12 Identify vehicles and other equipment with the name, address, and phone number <br /> of the Contractor's local office on each of its passenger doors. This information will be <br /> visible and legible at a distance of 100 feet. <br /> Personnel: <br /> <br /> The Contractor will: <br /> 1.4.13 Provide capable drivers with current class "A" driver's licenses and all regulatory <br /> permits required to operate the equipment owned by the Contractor. <br /> 5 <br />
