<br /> 2.2 Designate a Project Manager to be its authorized representative to act on the City's <br /> behalf with respect to this Contract. George Boeker, Director of Public Works, is the City's <br /> initial Project Manager. The City will examine the documents and information submitted <br /> by the Contractor and promptly render responses to the Contractor on issues requiring a <br /> decision by the City. <br /> 2.3 Provide stabilization of the Sludge by an AT AD system designed to achieve Class <br /> A pathogen reduction standards and a minimum of 38% reduction in volatile solids content. <br /> After digestion, the City will store the Sludge in an aerated 15-day capacity holding tank. <br /> The Sludge currently meets and is expected to continue to meet all requirements for <br /> exceptional quality status regarding metals content. The AT AD system is designed so the <br /> Sludge will have a solids content ranging from 2% to 6%. <br /> 2.4 Perform required sampling and testing of the Sludge to confirm the classification of <br /> the Sludge prior to loading onto Contractor's trucks. <br /> 2.5 The City will bear all costs incident to this Article. <br /> ARTICLE 3 <br /> PAYMENTS TO THE CONTRACTOR <br /> 3.1 RATES AND BILLING <br /> 3.1.1 Contractor will bill the City for services rendered during a month within 10 calendar <br /> days following the end of the month and the City will pay Contractor on or before the 25th <br /> day following the end of the preceding month. Such billing and payment will be based on <br /> the rates and schedules set forth in subsection 3.1.2 of this Contract. <br /> 3.1.2 The rates to be charged by the Contractor are as follows: <br /> Loading, handling, hauling, and disposal of <br /> Class A Sludge from the \fIN\ITP to <br /> approved disposal sites $0.035/gallon <br /> Loading, handling, hauling, and disposal of <br /> Class B Sludge from the \fIN\ITP <br /> to approved disposal sites $0.0485/gallon <br /> 3.2 CALCULATION OF PAYMENTS <br /> 3.2.1 The actual payment for each month's service will be determined by applying the <br /> Contract unit price established in subsection 3.1.2 for each gallon of Sludge to the actual <br /> 8 <br />
