2.2 Designate a Project Manager to be its authorized representative to act on the City's behalf with respect to this Contract. George Boeker, Director of Public Works, is the City's initial Project Manager. The City will examine the documents and information submitted by the Contractor and promptly render responses to the Contractor on issues requiring a decision by the City. 2.3 Provide stabilization of the Sludge by an AT AD system designed to achieve Class A pathogen reduction standards and a minimum of 38% reduction in volatile solids content. After digestion, the City will store the Sludge in an aerated 15-day capacity holding tank. The Sludge currently meets and is expected to continue to meet all requirements for exceptional quality status regarding metals content. The AT AD system is designed so the Sludge will have a solids content ranging from 2% to 6%. 2.4 Perform required sampling and testing of the Sludge to confirm the classification of the Sludge prior to loading onto Contractor's trucks. 2.5 The City will bear all costs incident to this Article. ARTICLE 3 PAYMENTS TO THE CONTRACTOR 3.1 RATES AND BILLING 3.1.1 Contractor will bill the City for services rendered during a month within 10 calendar days following the end of the month and the City will pay Contractor on or before the 25th day following the end of the preceding month. Such billing and payment will be based on the rates and schedules set forth in subsection 3.1.2 of this Contract. 3.1.2 The rates to be charged by the Contractor are as follows: Loading, handling, hauling, and disposal of Class A Sludge from the \fIN\ITP to approved disposal sites $0.035/gallon Loading, handling, hauling, and disposal of Class B Sludge from the \fIN\ITP to approved disposal sites $0.0485/gallon 3.2 CALCULATION OF PAYMENTS 3.2.1 The actual payment for each month's service will be determined by applying the Contract unit price established in subsection 3.1.2 for each gallon of Sludge to the actual 8
