1.2.6 Work - The furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidentals necessary for the <br />successful completion of the Contract and the carrying out of all duties and obligatious imposed by this <br />Contract on the Contractor. <br /> <br />Section 1.3 Recycling Drop-off Center <br /> <br />1.3.1 The Contractor will provide for the operation cfa Recycling Drop-offCenter within the City to collect <br />recyclable materials fi'om the public. The subcontractor will be reqaired to provide appropriate supervision, <br />materials, equipment, and labor for the operation of the Recycling Drop-off Center as follows: <br /> <br />Accept all types of paper and cardboard, boxboard, tires, automotive batteries, oil and oil filters, <br />ferrous and non-ferrous scrap ~netal, glass bottles and jars, appliances including those bearing freou, <br />No. I and No.2 clear and pigmented plastic bottles, styrofoam peanuts, newspapers, and aluminum <br />and tin cans, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. <br /> <br />Provide recyclable materials collection, handling and disposal services at a minimum of six <br />neighborhood cleanups and two river clean-ups per year upon City request; and accept at these <br />cleanups, at a minimum, scrap metal and appliances, including freon-bearing appliances, tires and <br />automotive batteries. <br /> <br />Marketing or disposal of all recyclable materials in accordance with all applicable local, state aud <br />federal laws and regulations. <br /> <br />Ensure that all buildings, facilities, grounds, vehicles and equipment used in the performance of these <br />services are kept in good repair and appearance and in sanitary condition. In this regard, the <br />Contractor will police the grounds at least once each day and dispose of loose and wind-blown <br />recyclable materials. <br /> <br />Provide a monthly report to tile City of recyclable materials collected and marketed including total <br />pounds per type of material and market value of each type of material. <br /> <br />Require that the Contractor's employees, officers, and agents do not identify themselves as being <br />employees or agents of the City; and ensure that all employees will wear insignia bearing the <br />Contractor's name and the individnal's name. <br /> <br />Obtain all liceuses aud permits required to perform the services described in this Agreement, and <br />promptly pay all taxes required by law. <br /> <br />The Contractor will charge discounted disposal fees to residential utility customers of the City for <br />disposal of recyclable materials that are difficult to recycle, including but not limited to tires, filters <br />and freon-bearing appliances accepted by the Contractor at the center. Tile Contractor will require <br />a customer to verify status as a residential utility customer by showing a copy of the customer's <br />current City utility bill. The Contractor may, but is not required to, charge surcharges or disposal fees <br />to other persons. <br /> <br />1.
