Contractor is M1NIMUM ONLY, and does not limit the types of recyclable materials the Contractor <br />is allowed to accept. <br /> <br />Section 1.4 City Facilities and Neighborhood Cleanup Recycling Collection Services <br /> <br />1.4. I Provision of City Facilities Collection Services; Materials to be Collected <br /> <br />The Contractor will fi~rnish the City with t~venty aew 95 gallon carts for collection and disposal of tile <br />following office paper at selected City facilities on a weekly basis; and collect and properly dispose of the <br />paper: <br /> <br />(I) computer paper <br />(2) colored paper <br />(3) fax paper <br />(4) file folders <br />(5) glossy paper <br /> <br />(6) white paper <br />(7) carbonless forms <br />(8) envelopes <br />(9) post-it-notes <br />(10) direct mail advertisements <br /> <br />1.4.2 Provision of Neighborhood Cleanup Collection Services <br /> <br />The Contractor will fnrnish labor, equipment and facilities for collection of recyclable materials at a <br />minimum of six neighborhood cleanups and two river cleanups per year. <br /> <br />1.4.3 Quality <br /> <br />Tile Contractor will not spill or leave recyclable material on tile ground. If the Contractor spills <br />material it will clean the spill using all means necessary before the truck leaves the premises. The <br />Contractor will clean up liquid and hydranlic spills with an absorbent that will be carried on all <br />trucks. Ifa spill leaves a stain on a roadway, building, or otber similar surface, the Contractor will <br />use all reasonable means available to remove the stain and restore the facility to the satisfaction of <br />the Director. <br /> <br />The Contractor will be responsible for injuries to any person and damage to any private or public <br />property, includiug City-owned property, caused by willful or negligent acts or by accidents related <br />to the Contractor's operations and activities under this Contract. <br /> <br />1.4.4 Equipment <br /> <br />The Contractor will operate only trucks and trailers of a type suitable to keep the recyclable material <br />from falling or blowing from the trucks. Waste hauled by the Contractor will be contained, tied or <br />enclosed so that leaking, spilling and blowing is prevented. All of the Contractor's equipment will <br />be in good mechanical condition and possess current federal and TXDOT certifications. <br /> <br />The Contractor will utilize only that equipment approved for use under this Contract and specified <br />in Attachment A to this Contract. The Contractor may make changes to the equipment list with the <br />written consent of the Director of Public Works. The Contractor will use only equipment <br />manufactured by a nationally known manufacturer. <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
