The wastewater funding will be <br />available prior to the beginning of construction. Mr. Diaz and Mr. <br />Thomaides both agreed this is a good project. The Council then voted <br />unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of removal of a <br />member of the Human Services Advisory Board. Ms. Narvaiz moved to approve <br />the removal of member, Jodie Ditmer from the Human Services Advisory <br />Board, and Mr. Taylor seconded the motion. Mr. Mihalkanin stated he feels <br />this is a serious action for the Council to take. He asked if there is a <br />requirement to hold a hearing or presentation before removing a member <br />from a Board or Commission. Mr. Mark Taylor stated he had tried to make <br />contact with Ms. Ditmer several times last week to discuss the matter. He <br />stated a letter signed by the Mayor was sent asking for a response from <br />Ms. Ditmer. He stated he followed the process in the Charter and listed <br />the reasons for removal. These were sent by hand delivered letter as well <br />as Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested. On roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Narvaiz, Habingreither, Taylor and Diaz. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Thomaides and Mihalkanin. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced a discussion regarding setting dates for <br />Workshops (a) Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, (b) Economic Development, (c) <br />City Greenspace Committee, (d) Budget Workshops, (e) <br />Annexation/Disannexation of Southwest San Marcos area, and (f) <br />Transportation Master Plan. Following a lengthy discussion regarding dates <br />for Workshops the Council agreed to hold the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce <br />Workshop on August 18, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Economic <br />Development Workshop on July 7, 2003 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., City <br />Greenspace Committee Workshop on July 14, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 <br />p.m., Budget Workshops on June 30, 2003 and July 1, 2003 both from 6:00 <br />p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Annexation/Disannexation of Southwest San Marcos <br />area Workshops on June 16, 2003, July 9, 2003, July 16, 2003 and July 21, <br />2003, all Workshops will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Council <br />also agreed the June 16, 2003 Annexation/Disannexation of Southwest San <br />Marcos area Workshops will be for the Council to lay out the organization <br />of the other 3 Workshops and would be taking no citizen comments at this <br />meeting. The Council agreed to defer the setting of the Transportation <br />Master Plan Workshop to a later time. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced a discussion regarding update on the Wonder <br />World Drive Overpass. Ms. Laurie Anderson presented the Council with a <br />packet and an overview of the Wonder World Drive Overpass project. She <br />stated TxDOT's bid date is set for January 4, 2004. She stated the 9 <br />parcels in blue, TxDOT has made offers on and there are 3 parcels that <br /> <br /> <br />
