Regular Meeting April 17, 2007 Page 10 <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a public hearing of Annexation Ordinance, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 5.81 ACRES, MORE OR <br />LESS, LOCATED SOUTHWEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF CENTERPOINT ROAD AND <br />IH -35 (OUTLET WEST TRACT); APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR THIS TRACT; <br />AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. She stated <br />the first reading will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2007. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a public hearing and consideration of adoption <br />Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />CHANGING THE NAME OF WATER TOWER STREET, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH <br />SPLIT RAIL DRIVE TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH SILO STREET, TO FENCE LINE <br />DRIVE; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Guerrero moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading, and Ms. <br />Couch seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated 911 are requesting this name <br />change. He stated the current name has caused some confusion during <br />emergencies. He also stated the developer of this subdivision was allowed <br />to choose the new name of this street. The Council then voted unanimously <br />of approval of the Ordinance on first reading. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a public hearing and consideration of approval of <br />an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />ADOPTING A REVISED SECTOR ONE, TWO AND THREE PLAN; INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Guerrero moved for approval of Ordinance on first reading, and Ms. <br />Robertson seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated this Ordinance is to <br />adopt the Sector Plans are components of the City's comprehensive plan <br />known as the Horizon Master Plan. These plans are meant to address issues <br />on a neighborhood level rather than from a city wide or regional <br />perspective. The Council then voted unanimously for approval of Ordinance <br />on first reading. <br />I <br />
