Regular Meeting April 17, 2007 Page 10 Mayor Narvaiz introduced a public hearing of Annexation Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 5.81 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED SOUTHWEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF CENTERPOINT ROAD AND IH -35 (OUTLET WEST TRACT); APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR THIS TRACT; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. She stated the first reading will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2007. Mayor Narvaiz introduced a public hearing and consideration of adoption Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME OF WATER TOWER STREET, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SPLIT RAIL DRIVE TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH SILO STREET, TO FENCE LINE DRIVE; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerrero moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading, and Ms. Couch seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated 911 are requesting this name change. He stated the current name has caused some confusion during emergencies. He also stated the developer of this subdivision was allowed to choose the new name of this street. The Council then voted unanimously of approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mayor Narvaiz introduced a public hearing and consideration of approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING A REVISED SECTOR ONE, TWO AND THREE PLAN; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerrero moved for approval of Ordinance on first reading, and Ms. Robertson seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated this Ordinance is to adopt the Sector Plans are components of the City's comprehensive plan known as the Horizon Master Plan. These plans are meant to address issues on a neighborhood level rather than from a city wide or regional perspective. The Council then voted unanimously for approval of Ordinance on first reading. I
