<br /> --- J1R <br /> r <br /> - <br /> Floodplain and Wetland Documentation: <br /> The new Activity Center is located in the 500 year floodplain and has made adjustments <br /> in the construction to accommodate any potential flooding. The centers foundation has <br /> been raised 4 ft. above the floodplain to comply with construction codes. Since all <br /> construction of the racquetball facilities in this proposal will be completed inside the <br /> Activity Center no further impacts on the watershed \vill be incurred. Attached to the <br /> proposal are notices of public hearings to approve the construction of the Activity Center <br /> within the floodplain. <br /> Environmental Impacts of the Proposed Project: <br /> Since the proposed project will occur within the new Activity Center, no significant <br /> adverse impacts to the surrounding habitat or community are expected. <br /> 1. Land Use: <br /> No adverse effects on surrounding properties or habitat are expected. The <br /> construction of the recreational facility will enhance the property values of the <br /> adjacent residential areas. <br /> 2. Fish and 'Wildlife: <br /> Since the completion of the project will be contained within the Activity Center no <br /> impact on the surrounding wildlife is anticipated. <br /> " Vegetation, Geology, Soils and "Mineral Resources: <br /> .J. <br /> Since the completion of the project will be co~tained within the Activity Center no <br /> impact on the surrounding habitat is anticipated. <br /> 4. Air and '\-Vater Quality, '\-Vater Resources and Hydrology: <br /> The completion of the racquetball facilities will not impact the water quality, water <br /> resources or hydrology of the surrounding region. All potential impacts to the <br /> watershed will be incorporated into the construction of the Activity Center and are <br /> addressed in the construction plans of the facility. Limited unavoidable impact to air <br /> quality may occur due to increased car traffic. <br /> 5. Historic, Archaeological and Cultural Resources: <br /> No historical or archaeological sites were defined within the project site. Local <br /> cultural resources will be enhanced by this project by providing a place for the <br /> community to interact in a positive manor. <br />
