Meeting No. 2. The Engineer will provide the TM in digital format (.pdf or .doc). <br /> <br />1.7 TASK 6 - HEALTH AND SAFETY ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />The Engineer will: <br /> <br />1.7.1 Review health and safety issues associated with the WWTP. Engineer represents that this <br />review is not a definitive assessment of the health and safety issues and does not replace the City's <br />responsibilities in this area. <br /> <br />1.7.2 Perform one site visit with staff interviews. <br /> <br />1.7.3 Prepare a preliminary assessment identifying potential areas for improvements for City <br />review and approval. <br /> <br />1.7.4 Perform a final assessment. <br /> <br />1.7.5 Prepare five copies of a TM that details the findings, options and recommendations of the <br />health and safety assessment and present/discuss the TM during Progress Meeting No. 1. Based on <br />input fi'om the City the Engineer will finalize the TM to include recommended improvements. The <br />Engineer will present/discuss the final TM during Progress Meeting No. 2. The Engineer will <br />provide the TM in digital format (.pdf or .doc). <br /> <br />1.8 TASK 7 - TREATMENT IMPROVEMENTS AND PROJECT DELIVERY OPTIONS <br /> <br />The Engineer will: <br /> <br />1.8.1 Develop an improvements plan for liquids, solids, and operational elements of the WWTP <br />for discussion during Progress Meeting No .2. Engineer will include in this plan the benefits, costs, <br />and risks of each option. The City and Engineer agree that there will be one alternative for each <br />process area improvement, e.g., biosolids treatment, and that up to three delivery options will be <br />presented. This effort will form the basis for option selections and development of an Improvement <br />Plan for the WWTP. <br /> <br />1.8.2 Address the following key issues: <br /> <br />a. Identification of the best improvement option, based on costs, odor control, operational <br /> ease, environmental impacts and future regulatm3, needs. <br />b. Project delivery (pre-purchase equipment, multiple contracts). <br />c. Scheduling. <br />d. Methods of assuring Engineer and Contractor performance. <br /> <br />1.8.3 Document and include all treatment improvement options, including preliminary cost <br /> <br />CH2M Hill. 2,wpd 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
