101 () -2- - design and construction of the wastewater system improvements necessary to connect Gary Job Corps Center to the City's wastewater treatment facilities and includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: A gravity flow main, lift station and force main as illustrated in the attached Exhibit 1- "A." ¡ I I ARTICLE 2 PROJECT MANAGEMENT 2.01 The parties agree to designate and authorize the City to act as the Project Manager ("Project Manager") for the design and construction of the Project. 2.02 The services to be provided by the Project Manager include, but are not limited to, the following: (a) Retaining the services of a Professional Engineer ("Engineer") licensed and registered in the State of Texas to provide services in regard to the development, design and construction of the Project and executing a Professional Services Agreement if;l a form satisfactory to the Project Manager with the Engineer outlining the services to be provided by the Engineer and the compensation to be received by the Engineer. The services provided by the Engineer, which services shall be outlined in the Professional Services Agreement, shall include, but not be limited to the following: (1) Designing and preparing all of the Project Documents; : (2) Coordinating the approval of the plans, specifications and other applicable Project Documents by the City; (3) Providing construction administration which will include, but not be limited to overseeing, inspecting and approving the construction of the work covered by the Project Documents to insure that it complies with the engineering standards adopted by the City and complies with the Project Docum~nts and all changes approved by the Project Manager. (4) Observing the construction of the Project and maintaining a diary of the Engineer's observations.
