<br />101 () <br /> <br /> <br />-2- - <br /> <br />design and construction of the wastewater system improvements necessary to connect <br /> <br />Gary Job Corps Center to the City's wastewater treatment facilities and includes, but is not <br /> <br />necessarily limited to, the following: <br /> <br />A gravity flow main, lift station and force main as illustrated in the attached Exhibit <br />1- "A." <br />¡ <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br />2.01 The parties agree to designate and authorize the City to act as the Project <br />Manager ("Project Manager") for the design and construction of the Project. <br />2.02 The services to be provided by the Project Manager include, but are not <br />limited to, the following: <br />(a) Retaining the services of a Professional Engineer ("Engineer") <br />licensed and registered in the State of Texas to provide services in <br />regard to the development, design and construction of the Project and <br />executing a Professional Services Agreement if;l a form satisfactory <br />to the Project Manager with the Engineer outlining the services to be <br />provided by the Engineer and the compensation to be received by the <br />Engineer. The services provided by the Engineer, which services <br />shall be outlined in the Professional Services Agreement, shall <br />include, but not be limited to the following: <br /> <br />(1) Designing and preparing all of the Project Documents; <br /> <br />: (2) Coordinating the approval of the plans, specifications and <br />other applicable Project Documents by the City; <br /> <br />(3) Providing construction administration which will include, but <br />not be limited to overseeing, inspecting and approving the <br />construction of the work covered by the Project Documents to <br />insure that it complies with the engineering standards adopted <br />by the City and complies with the Project Docum~nts and all <br />changes approved by the Project Manager. <br /> <br />(4) Observing the construction of the Project and maintaining a <br />diary of the Engineer's observations. <br /> <br />(5) Reviewing and approving monthly progress payment requests <br />submitted by the Contractor selected for the construction of the <br />
