Teachers
will also be able to recommend youth who would be able to participate. The youth Service
Bureau and San Marcos Youth Shelter target at risk youth and provides programming for them.
~
The San Marcos Hous~ng Authority works with government housing and provides services to
low income, minority youth. The Mitchell Center is a neighborhood community center that
serves youth in their immediate neighborhood. The majority of these youth are minorities.
Through these cooperative efforts we will be able to identify youth who are considered at-risk,
and provide them with this outdoor opportunity.
Through our partnerships we will target at-risk, low income, and minority youth in the
San Marcos community.
