Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 18, removed from the consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THAT ARE ALLOCATED FOR PERMANENT ART DISPLAY IN PUBLIC PLACES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Jones moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated the Council amended the Ordinance in 2005, which requires that 500 of the Arts Commission money go towards permanent art. He stated this Resolution provides funding for the permanent art. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 20, removed from the consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF AN OCE TCS500 SYSTEM PLOTTER /SCANNER FROM OCE WIDE FORMAT PRINTING SYSTEMS THROUGH THE TEXAS BUILDING AND PROCUREMENT COMMISSION'S TEXAS MULTIPLE AWARD SCHEDULE ( "TXMAS "); AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS WITH THE STATE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Robertson moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion. Ms. Robertson inquired to whether Staff has considered recouping some of these funds by making this scanner available to outside persons to digitize plans. Mr. O'Leary stated Staff can consider this. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 22, removed from the consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY - SAN MARCOS FOR ITS PROVISION OF WATER QUALITY ANALYTICAL SERVICES TO THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
