Regular Meeting June 5, 2007 Page 8 <br />Resolution will allocate the funding. The Council then voted unanimously <br />for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 18, removed from the <br />consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THAT ARE ALLOCATED FOR PERMANENT <br />ART DISPLAY IN PUBLIC PLACES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Jones moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the <br />motion. Mr. O'Leary stated the Council amended the Ordinance in 2005, <br />which requires that 500 of the Arts Commission money go towards permanent <br />art. He stated this Resolution provides funding for the permanent art. <br />The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 20, removed from the <br />consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF AN OCE TCS500 SYSTEM PLOTTER /SCANNER FROM <br />OCE WIDE FORMAT PRINTING SYSTEMS THROUGH THE TEXAS BUILDING AND <br />PROCUREMENT COMMISSION'S TEXAS MULTIPLE AWARD SCHEDULE ( "TXMAS "); <br />AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS <br />WITH THE STATE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Ms. Robertson moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Guerrero seconded <br />the motion. Ms. Robertson inquired to whether Staff has considered <br />recouping some of these funds by making this scanner available to outside <br />persons to digitize plans. Mr. O'Leary stated Staff can consider this. <br />The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration Item 22, removed from the <br />consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND TEXAS STATE <br />UNIVERSITY - SAN MARCOS FOR ITS PROVISION OF WATER QUALITY ANALYTICAL <br />SERVICES TO THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS <br />AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Guerrero moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Thomaides seconded <br />the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated this Resolution is to approve an agreement <br />with Texas State University to make sure the City is discharging the correc <br />
