The Engineer will <br />provide specific recommendations for the tank foundation in the geotechnical report. <br /> <br />Detailed Construction Drawings <br /> <br />1.2.4 Complete detailed construction drawings for the Project at a horizontal scale of 1" == 20' <br />and a vertical scale of 1" == 5' on 22" x 34"original plan sheets. These construction drawings <br />will include plan views, profiles, sections, and details necessary to clearly define the intent of the <br />Project. The Engineer will also define the limits of construction, required construction <br />sequencing, environmental protection requirements, identified contractor staging areas, and <br />traffic control plans. The Engineer will provide five (5) copies of preliminary construction <br />drawings at 95 percent complete for the City's review. Following the City's review and <br />approval, the Engineer will make appropriate revisions and submit one revised final copy of the <br />construction drawings to the City for approval. <br /> <br />1.2.5 Meet with the City's Project Manager periodically or as needed to update the City on the <br />progress of work. <br /> <br />1.2.6 Head the Project team and coordinate the integration of design, surveying, right of way <br />issues, traffic control, utility engineering, permitting, and other services as previously approved. <br /> <br />Construction Specifications and Contract Documents <br /> <br />1.2.7 Assist the City in the preparation of construction contract documents utilizing City forms <br />based on the approved design development documents and any further adjustments authorized by <br />the City in the scope, quality, or budget of the Project. These documents will include technical <br />specifications required for the Project to be accurately bid and efficiently constructed. The <br />Engineer will complete and submit a construction contract checklist and bid form for the City's <br />use in bidding the Project. <br /> <br />1.2.8 Use its best professional judgment to create technical documents that comply with <br />applicable construction and development codes, local regulations and ordinances and other <br />federal and state regulations which are known or which should reasonably be known to the <br />Engineer. The Engineer will submit two copies of draft documents for City review. Following <br />the City's review and approval, the Engineer will make the appropriate revisions and submit one <br />revised final copy of the technical specifications to the City for review. <br /> <br />1.2.9 Ensure that no reports, maps, or other documents produced in whole or in part under this <br />Agreement will be the subject of an application for copyright by or on behalf of the Engineer. <br /> <br />1.2.10 Obtain approval of technical plans and specifications from the appropriate City <br />inspector(s) as necessary for successful completion of the Project prior to allowing the <br />construction contract to be let for bid. <br /> <br />AP AI Elevated Storage Tank <br /> <br />3 <br />
