<br /> II,¡:, <br /> writing by the CITY and compensation will be in addition to that specified for Basic <br /> Services, in accordance with Section 13.2 of this Agreement. The approval of the CITY's <br /> governing body is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which exceeds <br /> $15,000. Additional services will include resident project representation beyond that <br /> provided as a part of Basic Services. <br /> ARTICLE 2 <br /> THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 2.1 The CITY will provide full information to the ENGINEER regarding requirements for <br /> the Project. Such information will include the CITY's design objectives, constraints and <br /> criteria, including space requirements and relationships, flexibility and expandability and <br /> special equipment and systems. <br /> 2.2 The CITY \Nill provide a legal description of the site including a graphic survey of the <br /> property with all existing easements, setbacks, and utilities and a topographic survey. <br /> 2.3 The CITY will provide a budget for the Project which will include contingencies for <br /> bidding, changes in the work during construction, and other costs which are the <br /> responsibility of the CITY, including those described in this Article 2 and in Subsection <br /> 3.1.2. The ENGINEER will accept the CITY's authorization to bid the Project as evidence <br /> that arrangements exist for the fulfillment of the financial obligations assumed by the CITY <br /> hereunder. <br /> 2.4 The CITY will designate a representative to act in the CITY's behalf with respect to <br /> the Project. The CITY and/or such authorized representative will examine the documents <br /> submitted by the ENGINEER and will render responses pertaining thereto promptly and <br /> provide the ENGINEER with the requested data or information in CITY's possession <br /> relating to the Project. <br /> 2.5 The CITY will provide access to and make all necessary provisions for the <br /> ENGINEER to enter public and private property as required for the ENGINEER to perform <br /> its services under this Agreement. <br /> 2.6 The CITY will furnish all legal, accounting and insurance counseling services as may <br /> be necessary at any time for the Project, including such auditing services as the CITY may <br /> require to ascertain how or for what purposes the Contractor used the money,Paid by or <br /> on behalf of the CITY. <br /> 2.7 The CITY will furnish required information and will render responses and conduct <br /> its review of written materials as expeditiously as possible. <br /> 2.8 The CITY will pay all costs incident to obtaining bids or proposals from Contractors <br /> (e.g., legal notice requirements and the provision of the City facilities for pre-bid <br /> conferences). <br />
