facility erected in accordance with plans approved by the city prior to the effective date of the <br />ordinance from which this division derives, until required to alleviate the condition by the city <br />after reasonable notice and hearing. If a storm sewer is not available, the drainage water may be <br />discharged into the sanitary sewer by an indirect connection with va'itten approval of the control <br />authority. <br /> <br />(b) Drainage water contaminated by pollntants controlled by this division shall not be discharged, <br />either directly or indirectly, into any storm sewer system or watercourse. <br /> <br />(c) If, in the opinion of the control authority, the character of the sewage from any industrial user <br />will damage the sewer system or cannot be treated satisfactorily in the system, the city has the <br />right to require the user to dispose of the waste otherwise, in accordance with all health <br />regulations, and prevent it from entering the sewer system. <br /> <br />(d) No person shall discharge industrial waste, interceptor waste or any other waste determined <br />by the control authority as not acceptable into the sewer system from a vehicle, holding tank, <br />tank truck, portable tank or other container used for transportation of industrial waste. <br /> <br />(e) No person shall directly or indirectly discharge or cause to be discharged any trucked or <br />hauled wastes neither at the wastewater plant nor at any point in the collection system. The <br />treatment plant will not accept any trucked or hauled wastes to be discharged at any point in the <br />treatment process. <br /> <br />(f) No person shall discharge wastewater or industrial waste into a sewer appurtenance intended <br />for maintenance, including but not limited to a manhole or cleanout connection or inspection <br />port, without written permission from the control authority. <br /> <br />Sec. 86.126. Discharge limitations and prohibitions. <br /> <br />(a) General discharge limitations and prohibitions: No person may discharge or cause, suffer, <br />allow or permit to be discharged into any sanitary sewer any of the following: <br /> <br />(1) Other waste, unless authorized by the control authority. <br /> <br /> (2) Flanmaable or explosive liquids, solids or gases, including but not limited to gasoline, <br />kerosene, benzene, naphtha, solvents and similar substances with a closed cup flashpoint of less <br />than 140 degrees Fahrenheit or 60 degrees Celsius, using test methods specified in 40 CFR <br />261.21. <br /> <br /> (3) Pollutants regulated pursuant to any applicable categorical standard promulgated by the <br />EPA in a concentration or in an muount in excess of the limit specified in the standard. <br /> <br /> (4) Organic pollutants referred to in section 307(a)(1) of the Act, and listed in appendix B <br />to 40 CFR 403 that are used in a manufacturing process shall be segregated fi'om wastewater <br />discharge to the extent it is feasible to do so, or any pollutant in a concentration or amount <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br /> <br />
