Describe the degree to which the project creates opportunities for new partnerships <br /> bcrwccn uail users, private interestS and public agencies. <br /> .. <br /> The proposed trail system will connect to existing Southwest Texas <br /> University property therefore connecting two jurisdictions. <br /> ... <br /> The original trail system, located within Bicentennial, Rio Vista, <br /> Rio Vista Annex Park, and Ramon Lucio Parks, was funded in part by <br /> the Soil Conservation Service. These four parks have been <br /> - incorporated into the San Marcos River Corridor Plan. <br /> 8. Describe the degree to which volunteer labor will be used to accomplish this project. <br /> Volunteer labor from several local organizations will assist in the <br /> vegetation clearing and pruning. Boy Scouts have expressed <br /> interest in various Eagle Scout projects. If funded the Boy Scouts <br /> Eagle Scouts will plan, organize, and construct small portions of <br /> the project based on a professional's design. <br /> i <br /> 9. Describe the degree to which the project uses the grant funds to leverage greater public <br /> or private inveStI'nCfitS (in the fonn of sc.rvices and materials, as well as dollars). Attach <br /> any wnn.c:n agreementS. <br /> contributions from "Friends of the" Parks" and other similar and <br /> service organizations will be sought inunediately. These <br /> organizations were recently responsible for funding and <br /> construction of the Play Scape at Children's Park (on Rio vista <br /> Annex park).
