<br /> lot¡;: <br /> The CONSULTANT will conduct field surveys to supplement and update <br /> available data. Surveys or field inspections will be required for <br /> wildlife and wildlife habitation and wetlands. <br /> A concise description of the affected environment will be prepared <br /> by the CONSULTANT. The CONSULTANT will include the existing and <br /> planned land uses and zoning in the affected areas, and any known <br /> parks, wetlands, floodplains and historic/archeological sites in this <br /> section. Population, industrial and commercial growth characteristics <br /> will also be described by the CONSULTANT. Other planned and developed <br /> activities in the affected area, which are interrelated to the proposed <br /> project and/or which would produce cumulative impacts, will be <br /> identified by the CONSULTANT. <br /> l.4.4 TASK 4- NOISE IMPACT ANALYSIS <br /> CONSULTANT will give special emphasis to the analysis of noise <br /> impacts and the development of alternatives which may be useful in a <br /> decision relative to management of arrival and departure flight <br /> tracks. The CONSULTANT will consider the possible introduction of new <br /> noise exposure areas resulting from the construction of the proposed <br /> project and changes in runway utilization that may occur as a result. <br /> The noise modeling performed by CONSULTANT for the San Marcos <br /> Airport Master Plan Update will be confined using FAA Integrated Noise <br /> Model (INM) 4.10. The CONSULTANT will provide and utilize the required <br /> contours, as specified in FAA Orders 1050.1D and 5050.4A, . in the <br /> preparation of the report. The CONSULTANT wi IiI also utilize <br /> appropriate aircraft performance flight profiles, and meterological <br /> data. <br /> l.4.S TASK 5 - COMPATIBLE LAND USE <br /> CONSULTANT will analyze existing and probable future land use in <br /> the vicinity of the proposed project to determine existing and future <br /> compatibility with airport operations. This analysis will be <br /> coordinated by the CONSULTANT using local comprehensive planning and <br /> will be placed in context with the objectives, policies, and programs <br /> of the area, including community development issues for the nearby <br /> communities that will be affected. <br /> l.4.6 TASK 6- ASSESSMENT OF SOCIAL IMPACTS <br /> The CONSULTANT will undertake an evaluation to determine if the <br /> proposed project may have any adverse social or community impacts. <br /> Measures to mitigate any adverse effects, if any, will be addressed by <br /> the CONSULTANT. The CONSULTANT will analyze community concerns and the <br /> direct impacts associated with the runway extension in terms of <br /> possible direct impacts in the context of community concerns. <br /> l.4.7 TASK 7- INDUCED SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACTS <br /> The CONSULTANT will assess secondary or induced socio-economic <br /> impacts resulting from the construction and operation of the proposed <br /> project and associated development, including economically significant <br /> -10- <br />
