<br />/)/pj <br /> <br /> <br />-25- <br /> <br />Sec. 1-156. Reciprocal Agreements and licenses. <br /> <br />(a) The city may enter into agreements with other <br />jurisdictions to allow master electricians and journeyman <br />electricians licensed in the other jurisdictions to obtain <br />similar licenses in the city without taking the required <br />examinations; provided, that the privilege is extended by <br />the other jurisdictions to allow master electricians and <br />journeyman electricians licensed by the city to obtain <br />licenses in those jurisdictions in a similar manner. <br /> <br />(b) Evidence must be presented that the licensing <br />jurisdiction issues licenses under conditions no less <br />restrictive than those in by this Article. <br /> <br />(c) The applicant must have obtained the license in <br />other jurisdiction through testing. Double-reciprocating is <br />not allowed. <br /> <br />(d) The process of obtaining the reciprocal license must <br />be similar in both jurisdictions, with any constraints <br />placed on an applicant in one jurisdiction applying equally <br />in the other. . <br />~ <br />(d) All reciprocal agreements shall be in writing and <br />shall detail the requirements and administrative procedures <br />referred to in this Section. A copy of these agreements, is <br />to be kept available for public inspection in the Building <br />Inspection Division offices. <br /> <br />(e) Each agreem~nt shall state whether the electrical <br />board determines retains the right to rule individually on <br />each applicant, or whether authority to issue licenses shall <br />be delegated to the electrical inspector. <br />, <br />(f) A master electrician applying for a reciprocal <br />license must have held a master electrician license for not <br />less than one year in the reciprocating jurisdiction. <br /> <br />Sec. 5-157. Licensing and examination fees. <br /> <br />(a) The fee for examination for the master electrician <br />license, journeyman electrician license and maintenance <br />electrician license shall be in an amount sufficient to <br />cover the cost of such testing, including administrative <br />costs. Payment of this fee shall be required each time an <br />application for the license examination is made. The <br />examination fee is not refundable. The amount of the fee <br />shall be established by separate ordinance. <br /> <br />(b) The annual fees required for licensing under this <br />Article shall be established by separate ordinance. <br /> <br />Sec. 5-158. Suspension of license. <br /> <br />(a) The electrical board may suspend the license of any <br />apprentice, journeyman or master electrician, for a period <br />of not more than one year, after determining that the <br />licensee has done any of the following: <br /> <br />(1) Permitted an unlawful or fraudulent use of a <br />license. <br /> <br />! (2) Performed any electrical work in violation of <br />I this chapter and then failed or refused to <br />: make corrections necessary for the work to <br />I conform to this chapter within ten (10) days <br />! after receiving written notice of such <br />I violation. Notice shall be given by first <br />! class mail or hand delivery by the electrical <br />
