<br /> ¡¡bAA <br /> -28- <br /> electrician to obtain permits under the <br /> electrician's license. <br /> (3) A property owner who certifies that the work <br /> will be performed by the applicant's own <br /> hands, in a residence occupied, or to be <br /> occupied, by the applicant as a homestead. <br /> (c) Each application for a permit shall be accompanied I <br /> ! <br /> by the appropriate fee unless the applicant has a written <br /> tax abatement agreement with the city which provides <br /> otherwise. In the event the scope of work is increased <br /> during the construction period, the permit holder shall file <br /> an amended permit application, prior to final inspection, <br /> setting forth the proper fee calculations based on the <br /> J.ncrease in scope, and to pay the increased fee amount <br /> unless provided otherwise by written agreement as set forth <br /> hereinabove. Permit fees shall be set by separate <br /> ordinance. A schedule of such fees shall be kept on file <br /> for public inspection in the offices of the city secretary <br /> and the building official. <br /> Sec. 5-168. Issuance of permit. <br /> ~ <br /> (a) Upon receipt of a permit, the electrician may start <br /> the proposed job and make the installation described in the <br /> application, requesting inspections by the electrical <br /> inspector in the proper sequence as the work progresses. <br /> (b) There shall only be one (1) permit issued at the <br /> same time on any one (1) installation of .electrical <br /> equipment, or other work covered by this Article. <br /> (c) In the event of death or disability of a permit I <br /> holder, the electrical contr~ctor performing the work under I <br /> the permit will be allowed to complete the work provided <br /> that another master electrician assumes responsibility for <br /> the work within thirty (30) days of the death or disability. <br /> (d) When two or more master electricians are working on <br /> the same job, the supervision, direction, and control of the <br /> work shall be the responsibility of the person to whom the <br /> permit was issued. <br /> Sec. 5-169. Inspections. <br /> (a) The electrical inspector shall make thorough <br /> inspections of all electrical work and shall enforce all the <br /> provisions of this Article by entering any building or <br /> premises at reasonable times, after presentation of proper <br /> credentials to the owner or other person in control of the <br /> building or premises. <br /> (b) Where electrical work is in a dangerous or unsafe <br /> condition, or is deemed to be an interference with the work <br /> of the Fire Department, the electrical inspector shall <br /> notify the permit holder for the work to place it in a safe, <br /> secure and non-interfering condition. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> (c) The electrical inspector shall inspect and approve <br /> electrical work after rough-in and upon final completion of <br /> the work, and if the electrical inspector deems that the <br /> complexity of the electrical work demands it, the inspector <br /> may schedule additional inspections to be made at <br /> appropriate times during construction. When additional <br /> inspections are necessary, the electrical inspector shall <br /> notify the permit holder in writing of. the required schedule <br /> and it shall be unlawful or the permit holder to fail to <br /> request inspections pursuant to the schedule. <br />
