<br /> ) ¡h,4ô <br /> -29- <br /> (d) The permit holder shall notify the electrical <br /> inspector before 3:00 p.m. the day before an inspection is <br /> required. The inspection shall be made as soon as possible <br /> but not later than 24 hours after the call. In the event <br /> the inspection is not made within the time allotted, the <br /> permit holder may proceed with the work as though the <br /> inspection had been made, and the work approved.' However, <br /> the permit holder shall retain the responsibility to perform <br /> the work in accordance with this Article, and any work found <br /> by subsequent inspection to be in violation shall be <br /> immediately removed or corrected. <br /> (e) Notwithstanding subsection (d) above, no electrical <br /> work for which a permit is required under this Article shall <br /> be concealed in any manner from access or sight until it has <br /> been inspected and approved by the electrical inspector, and <br /> no electrical work shall be connected to a source of energy <br /> until the work is completed and all outlets supplied with <br /> approved fixtures, devices or covers, and the work has been <br /> finally approved for service. <br /> (f) If the electrical work meets all the requirements of <br /> this Article upon final inspection, the electrical inspector <br /> shall take the necessary action promptly to ~llow connection <br /> of the electrical work to a source of energy, and shall <br /> issue a written certificate of approval, upon request, to <br /> the permit holder to cover t~e work. <br /> (g) In the event the electrical work fails to meet the <br /> requirements of this Artic~e, the permit holder shall be <br /> notified by the electrical inspector of the deficiencies. <br /> If the work is on premises already connected to a source of <br /> energy, the permit holder shall immediately take action to <br /> correct the defects and call for reinspect ion of the work. <br /> Failure to do so may be cause, if the electrical inspector <br /> deems public safety to be compromised, for an order to the <br /> serving utility to disconnect power until the defects are <br /> corrected. If public safety is not involved, and 15 days <br /> from date of written notification of discrepancy have <br /> expired, the electrical inspector shall refuse to issue any <br /> further permits for electrical work to the electrician until <br /> the defective work is corrected and approved in accordance <br /> with this Article. <br /> (h) The electrical inspector shall leave a written log <br /> of passed and failed inspections with the Building <br /> Inspections Division clerk at noon and 5:00 p.m. each <br /> business day. A master electrician may call and receive <br /> telephone information on the status of requested <br /> inspections. <br /> (i) Temporary power for testing shall be permitted for <br /> up to 90 days upon written request of the permit holder. <br /> Sec. 5-170. Subsequent Permits. <br /> (a) When the permit holder fails or refuses to complete <br /> , electrical work, in whole or in part, the owner or person in <br /> , <br /> charge of the construction on behalf of the owner may <br /> request that the original permit be canceled to allow <br /> another licensed electrician to secure a permit to complete <br /> the work. The request shall be in writing, shall set forth <br /> the circumstances, and shall be directed to the electrical <br /> board. <br /> (b) Upon receipt of a request for cancellation, the <br /> electrical inspector shall schedule a meeting of the <br /> electrical board, and shall notify the permit holder in <br /> writing of the meeting by first class mail or hand delivery. <br /> At the meeting, the permit holder may show cause why a <br />
