If <br /> the TFS had provided the subgrantee with $5,000.00, there <br /> would have to be $582.00 returned to the TFS. <br /> 6.1 Grant Agreements and Certification Requirement ~ <br /> a) Grantees approved for financial assistance will enter into a grant <br /> agreement with the Texas Forest Service that defines the <br /> responsibilities of both parties, and submit a "Certification <br /> Regarding Debarment, Suspension, Ineligibility and Voluntary <br /> Exclusion - Lower Tier Covered Transactions Form" (AD-1048) to <br /> receive funds. <br /> 7.0 Requirements for Projects That Involve Tree Planting <br /> , <br /> a) If the trees are to be planted on city or county property, the <br /> applicant must provide a resolution from city councilor <br /> commissioner's court endorsing the project. <br /> b) Liability waiver - The app11cant, as part of the grant agreement, <br /> relinquishes the Texas Forest Service from any liability <br /> associated with contractors, volunteers, or city employees working <br /> on this project. <br /> c) There must be a site plan to accompany applications for tree <br /> planting projects that adequately describes the project. The plan <br /> must conform to municipal or state highway safety codes. <br /> d) The grantee must agree to provide maintenance of all planted <br /> material for three years. The Forest Service must approve the <br /> maintenance treatments and watering schedule. <br /> 6 <br />
