<br /> ;)Dß <br /> 1. 3.3 Develop an understanding of staffing for long-term management <br /> and system operations. <br /> 1.3.4 Deliver interview summaries to the CITY. <br /> 1.4 TASK 4 - DETERMINE REQUIREMENTS AND NEEDS <br /> The CONSULTANT shall: <br /> 1.4.1 Determine and document user requirements and needs by service <br /> area to include the following items. <br /> --- (1) City telephone system requirements including: <br /> r (a) traffic handling and growth capacity; and <br /> (b) modern features such as conference calling, call <br /> forwarding, paging, intercom, voice mail, electronic <br /> mail, automated attendant, facsimile, etc. <br /> (2) Cellular phones for appropriate use in various service <br /> areas in the City. <br /> (3) Networking of mainframe and personal computers. <br /> (4) Dispatch and emergency management operations and <br /> facilities. <br /> (5) Dispatch requirements including ...console system <br /> capabilities and layout; and peripheral devices such as <br /> telephone, computing, and recording equipment will be <br /> considered and coordinated. <br /> (6) Geographic radio coverage requirements on both a mobile <br /> and handheld radio basis. Specific attention will be <br /> given to unusual coverage requirements such as within <br /> specified buildings. <br /> : (7) Mobile data requirements for future mobile data terminal <br /> or laptop personal computers. <br /> (8) Fleet mapping, talkgroup assignments or radio channel <br /> assignments for the various serVlce areas. <br /> (9) Interdepartmental and interagency radio communication <br /> requirements on both a trunked and conventional basis. <br /> (10) Radio equipment for field personnel and the operational <br /> characteristics which help ensure convenient and safe use <br /> in moving vehicles. Mounting arrangements, displays, <br /> microphone locations, speaker location and labeling of <br /> functions will also be considered. <br /> (ll) Radio system redundancy issues including backup repeater <br /> sites, dispatch points, system control links (microwave, <br /> control stations, etc.) and auxiliary power systems for <br /> critical components. <br /> (12) Voice encryption for secure communication of sensitive or <br /> tactical information. <br /> -3- <br />
