In the two-way radio area, provide computer <br /> generated radio coverage predictions to help determine the optimum site <br /> layout and system configuration. <br /> 1.5.2 Provide propagation analysis. <br /> 1.5.3 Upon request by CITY, perform optional cost field -strength <br /> surveys that will confirm the suitability of sites for inclusion in the <br /> new communications system. <br /> 1.5.4 Develop budgetary radio communications cost estimate to develop <br /> and implement a new 800 MHz trunked radio system using current vendor <br /> pricing. The budgetary estimate will outline the various components of <br /> the system and will address system development, procurement, and <br /> implementation. ~ <br /> 1.5.5 Conduct a detailed analysis of requirements for improved <br /> telephone communications support. <br /> 1.5.6 Develop conceptual designs which consider the interconnectivity <br /> of City sites and the requirements to integrate voice, data, and video <br /> at the desk top level. These designs will incorporate considerations <br /> of future high speed data transmission of graphic GIS information and <br /> utilization of such communications media as 100 Megabyte FDDI and <br /> Metropolitan Area Networks. <br /> I <br /> 1. 5.7 Review all of the conceptual system designs developed during <br /> this task with City staff for agreement on design and service area <br /> support prior to the Consultant's development of budgetary cost <br /> estimates for each design or combination of designs. <br /> 1.5.8 Deliver to the CITY: <br /> (1) Conceptual system design by application and agency; <br /> (2) propagation maps detailing forecasted radio coverage when <br /> required; and <br /> (3) bugetary cost estimates for each system/technology design. <br /> 1.6 TASK 6 - PREPARE AND PRESENT REPORT <br /> The CONSULTANT shall: <br /> -4- <br />
