<br />99 <br /> <br />regular meeting <br /> <br />february 23, 1981 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on second reading, the <br />caption of which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS <br />THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER <br />29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 30 ACRES OUT OF THE RIVER RUN SUBDIVISION, <br />LOCATED ON RIVER ROAD, FROM "AO" (AGRICUL'I'URAL-OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO <br />"D" (MULTI-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT). <br /> <br />Mr. Stokes requested a report on utilities for this area. Mrs. Norris moved <br />to approve the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Tarbutton seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on second reading, the <br />caption of which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN ~ffiRCOS, TEXAS, <br />ANENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS <br />THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER <br />29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 0.31 ACRES OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI <br />LEAGUE NO. MCGEHEE ADDITION, LOCATED AT 602 W. HUTCHISON ST., FROM <br />"R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "TH" (TOWNHOUSE). <br /> <br />Mayor Kraus was concerned about the need for right-of-way on Blanco Street. <br />Mr. Stokes asked that staff report on the right-of-way on this street. JVlrs. <br />Norris moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Stokes seconde< <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on second reading, the <br />caption of which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING SECTION 31-3 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF SAN ~ffiRCOS, <br />TEXAS BY DECREASING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS ON THE SAN MARCOS AIRPORT <br />COMMISSION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading. <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration a public hearing and first reading <br />on changing the zoning of 45.70 acres out of the J.M. Veramendi League No. <br />Two, located on I.H. 35 North, from "D" (Multi-Family Dwelling District), <br />"M" (Mixed) and "c" (Commercial) to "c" (Commercial) and "I" (Industrial). <br />The Mayor then opened the public hearing. No One wished to speak in opposi- <br />tion to the zoning change. Jake Krauskopf, agent for the applicant, spoke <br />to the Council on the proposed zoning change. The Mayor then closed the <br />public hearing. The City Secretary then read the Ordinance in its entirety, <br />the caption of which follows: <br />
