The consultant will prepare presentations <br /> for the City Commissioners and staffs and for public information meetings to be conducted or offered to <br /> neighborhood areas surrounding the airport for their consideration. <br /> TASK 7.0 - ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT <br /> Since it appears that major airport improvements such as runway extensions or others that require full <br /> environmental impact assessment may result from the proposed study, an environmental assessment of <br /> long term airport development program will be conducted to identify any potential impacts that may result <br /> from the proposed development program. Full consideration will be given to those factors which may result <br /> from airport improvement and analyzed under current FAA and other State or Federal guidelines. This will <br /> ensure that should the environmental consequences of any recorrmended or planned ilTfXOvement be <br /> questioned that information would be available for consideration. Field sulVeys for biological ("ora and <br /> fauna) or archaeological assessment will be conducted. <br /> Noise contours will be based upon Task 6.3. <br /> The environmental assessment will address at least the following environmental consequences: <br /> . Noise <br /> . Compatible Land Use <br /> . Assessment of Social Impacts <br /> . Induced Socioeconomic Irrpacts <br /> . Air Quality <br /> . Water Quality <br /> . Department of Transportation. Section 4 (F) <br /> . Biotic Communities (Including Both Flora and Fauna) <br /> . Endangered and Threatened Species of Flora and Fauna <br /> . Historical and Archaeological Impact <br /> . Wetlands and Floodplains <br /> The assessment will be conducted in accordance with FAA Orders 5050.4A and 1050.1D, and a public <br /> hearing will be held. <br /> TASK 8.0 . AIRPORT LA YOUT PLAN <br /> TBSIc 8.1 Airport LIIyout Plan <br /> The existing airport layout plan will be revised and updated in accordance with the developed and accepted <br /> alternatives for the airport improvement program. All recommendations for development that have been <br /> accepted or approved by the City and the FAA as a result of this study will be incorporated in the airport <br /> layout plan update. The ALP will contain information as required under FAA Advisory Circular 150/5070-6, <br /> it will superimposed over the most recently available aerial photography for purposes of providing detailed <br /> visual reference to airport facilities and features as well as the environs. <br /> Task 8.2 Preps,. New HeIght Hszsrd ZOning _s <br /> Using the Federal Air Regulation Part 77 as the basis for delineation, a new map will be prepared showing <br /> the heights and relative locations of airspace IilTitations for the construction of obstructions in the vicinity <br /> of the airport. The map will utilize the technical requirements of FAR Part 77 as its principle basis; <br /> however, there may be variances from the FAR Part 77 criteria and areas of potential development that <br /> will not effect the airspace.
