<br />Award by the Purchasing Manager, bidder shall be obligated to <br />deliver the products at the stated prices, within the time <br />specified, and in accordance with all terms and conditions, and <br />special provisions contained herein. The quantities stated in the <br />Bid Summary Sheet are the best estimates of City's needs for the <br />Loop 82 Utility Relocation project. The quantities are not firm <br />and are not hereby ordered or called for. Actual requirements will <br />be stated through issuance of individual purchase orders against <br />the contract, and no obligation to pay for any quantities shall be <br />deemed to exist unless or until such orders are issued. Delivery <br />Schedule listed by bidders on the face of this solicitation shall <br />apply to the individual delivery orders. <br /> <br />C. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: It is anticipated that the City may <br />have additional requirements for the i terns described in section <br />6.B. Bid price shall apply to any additional requirements called <br />for, including applicable quantity discounts, for the duration of <br />this project. For purposes of quantity discounts, any additional <br />requirements will be counted as though one order had been placed <br />for the entire quantity. The City is not obligated to purchase any <br />item under this contract in excess of quantities stated. <br /> <br />D. QUANTITIES AND DESCRIPTIONS: <br /> <br />1. Item #1: quantity - 4113 If., 8" C900, Class 200, PVC <br />Pipe, <br /> <br />2. Item #2: quanti ty - 580 If., 6" C900, Class 200, PVC <br />Pipe <br /> <br />3. Item #3: quantity - 60 If., 6" Ductal Iron Pipe, must <br />meet AWWA standards <br /> <br />4. Item #4: quantity - 12 ea., 8" gate valves, Mueller or <br />equal, <br /> <br />a. Valves shall be manufactured in accordance with the <br />applicable provisions of ANSI/AWWA C509. All <br />ferrous parts shall be made of cast or ductile <br />iron. Bonnet and body metal thickness shall exceed <br />the minimum thickness permitted by ANSI/AwwA <br />C153/A21.53-88. <br /> <br />b. Val ve shall be seat tested at a rated working <br />pressure of at least 200 psi with no leakage. A <br />shell test of 400 psi shall be applied to the body <br />with no leakage through the metal, flanged joints <br />or stem seals. <br /> <br />c. The valves are to be non-rising stem with the stem <br />material made of cast, forged, or rolled bronze. <br />
