Three Edwards Aquifer demand scenarios (note that TWDB <br /> is to provide springflow scenarios) <br /> 2, Wastewater Reuse. <br /> 3, Water Rights Purchase/Transfer, <br /> 1.3.5 Modify the computer model being developed for the EUWD to <br /> incorporate the above work items into a separate version of the model <br /> for the City of San Marcos. <br /> 1.3.6 Develop a list with descriptions of various surface water <br /> alternatives which may have been previously addressed in other studies <br /> or which may be new, but feasible alternatives and compare these <br /> alternatives with the information obtained in compliance with <br /> subsection 1.3.8 to determine if additional alternatives should be <br /> evaluated; <br /> 1.3.7 In conjunction with CITY staff and/or City Council, select <br /> two springflow scenarios to be used as a basis for final evaluation of <br /> water supply options; <br /> 1. 3,8 Identify users and quantities of water diverted from the <br /> Edwards Aquifer in Hays County, update projections of use for each <br /> identified entity and summarize projections; <br /> 1. 3.9 Review existing population projections and water use data for <br /> the CITY and prepare projections of population and water use for the <br /> CITY and potential service areas for the water system; <br /> 1. 3 ,10 Identify preliminary water rights availability and permit <br /> requirements, including schedule scenarios involving various levels of <br /> permit opposition. On the basis of the two selected springflow <br /> scenarios specified in subsection 1.3.7, perform reliability analysis <br /> of unappropriated San Marcos River water to determine raw water storage <br /> and/or transmission requirements to firm up the supply from the San <br /> Marcos River. The following alternative water supply scenarios will be <br /> evaluated by the ENGINEER with respect to water availability: <br /> 1. An off-channel storage reser.Toir near selected diversion <br /> point on the San Marcos River. <br /> 2. The use of the San Marcos wastewater flows after being <br /> discharged to the San Marcos River consisting of: <br /> a. Groundwater return flows; and <br /> b. Surface water return flows. <br /> 3. The use of Canyon Lake water. <br />
