lO Regular Meeting March 14, 1983 Page 3 Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT OF LEASE BE- TWEEN SAID CITY AND THE HAYS COUNTY WOMEN'S CENTER, INC., FOR PROVISION OF A SITE FOR THE SERVICES OF CENTER; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREE- MENT OF LEASE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Kreczmer se- conded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR AN AUDIT, AN ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENT AND OTHER ACCOUNTING SER- VICES BETWEEN HAROLD V. SIMPSON & COMPANY AND THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore se- conded the motion. Mr. Kreczmer expressed a concern that the same audit- ing firm had been used over a period of years and thought the Council should consider bidding the audit services on a three-year basis. Don Laine of Harold V. Simpson & Company stated his firm worked for the Council and with the Staff. He stated municipality audits required a different look than comrnercialneeds and his company specializes in municipality audits. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Moore, Norris. NAY: Kreczmer. ABSTAIN: None. Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, RATIFYING THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY OF AN APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE FROM THE GOVERNOR'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION TO OB- TAIN MOBILE AND PORTABLE RADIOS AND DECLARING AN EF- FECTIVE DATE.
