<br />reviewed by the city attorney and filed with the city <br />secretary. The policies shall not be cancelled except after <br />ten (10) days' written notice to the city secretary. <br />Failure of the certificate holder to file the certificates <br />as required by this section, or failure to keep them in <br />force, shall immediately forfeit and make null and void the <br />certificate and all rights under it shall at once cease <br />without the necessity of further action by the city council. <br />Sec. 15~-7. Fees. <br /> No certificate shall be issued or continued in operation <br />unless the holder has paid an annual license fee of $200.00 <br />for each type of limousine service covered by the <br />certificate, and $60.00 for each vehicle operated under the <br />certificate. The fees shall be paid to the city to <br />compensate the city for its superintendence of the limousine <br />service, and for the use of the streets, alleys and public <br />ways of the city. The fees due under this section may be <br />prorated for up to six (6) months for new certificates if <br />approved by the city council. <br />Sec. 15~-8. Transfer of certificates. <br /> <br /> No certificate may be sold, assigned, or otherwise <br />transferred without the consent of the city council. The <br />proposed transferee shall submit an application in the form <br />required by section 15~-3. The city council shall consider <br />the application in accordance with Sections 15~-4 and 15~-5. <br />Sec. 15~-9. Suspension and revocation of certificate. <br /> <br /> A certificate issued under the provisions of this chapter <br />may be revoked or suspended by the municipal court judge for <br />any of the following reasons: <br /> (1) The holder, or any agent or employee of the holder, <br /> has violated any of the provisions of this chapter. <br /> (2) The holder has discontinued operations for more <br /> than ten (10) consecutive days. <br /> (3) The holder has violated any ordinance of the city, <br /> or law of the united states or the state of Texas, <br /> the violation of which adversely affects the <br /> ability of holder to either offer public <br /> transportation or do so in a safe manner. <br /> The chief of police may present a petition for suspension <br />or revocation stating the reasons for the proposed action. <br />The holder shall be provided with a copy of the petition and <br />shall have an opportunity to be heard by the municipal court <br />judge prior to the judge's decision. <br />Sec. 15~-10. Limousine operator's permit. <br /> <br /> No person shall operate a limousine upon the streets of <br />the city and no certificate holder shall permit a limousine <br />to be driven, unless the operator of the limousine has in <br />force a current limousine operator's permit issued under the <br />provisions of this chapter. <br />Sec. 15~-11. Application for limousine operator's permit. <br /> <br /> (a) The holder of a certificate shall file with the city <br />secretary an application for limousine operator's permit for <br />each driver employed by the holder. <br /> (b) It shall be the responsibility of a certificate <br />holder to immediately notify the city secretary of any <br />changes in the personnel employed by the holder to operate <br />
