<br /> As Dean, Dr. Richard Cheatham holds a Ph.D. in <br /> Communication from Purdue University. He is considered an <br /> expert in his field and has been in the communication <br /> business for the last twenty years. Furthermore, Dr. Manny <br /> Brand the chairman of the Music department has a Ph.D. in <br /> Music from the University of Miami. Dr. Brand has over 15 <br /> years of experience in all aspects of music education. In <br /> addition to the aformentioned technical expertise of the <br /> management team, the foundation will access to faculty with <br /> technical expertise in marketing, advertising, technology, <br /> business, journalism and the dramatic arts. Mr. Anthony <br /> Tomblin has over twenty years of experience in the music <br /> business, as musician, promoter, and manager. His knowledge <br /> of the music business, as well as his contacts throughout the <br /> music industry will be invaluable in promoting use of the <br /> studio. Moreover, strong contacts the Support Foundation has <br /> with Tom Copeland of the Texas Film Commission, Angie Meyer <br /> of the Texas Tornadoes, and Georg~ Strait can assist in <br /> opening many doors to various recording artists. In addition <br /> the foundation will sub-contract with entities that are <br /> involved in the Hispanic music and advertising market. This <br /> specific marketing strategy will be enhanced by our strategic <br /> location in the 1-35 corridor which has communities with <br /> significant Hispanic population. Furthermore, the recording <br /> studio will enhance the employability of technicians that <br /> participate in continuing education programs that will help <br /> 12 <br />
